I was impressed with Alexis from the very moment I met her. In a world of pressures, comparisons, and anxieties, Alexis is enlightening, empowering, and focused. I have no doubt in my mind that Alexis will stand out for this generation of women, as a leader, and as an inspiration.
Alexis and I went to college together and it was then I told her “one day you’re going to take over the world.” She is one of the most inspiring, motivating, beautiful people I have ever known. Her work ethic is second to none and it is because of that that she has made a tremendous difference in not only young females lives but also young males.

My soul sister, girl-who-can-finish-my-sentences-before-I-do Alexis Jones. We were sorority sisters. And best friends. I knew she was special then. She was magnetic. Motivated. Excited about everything. A truly shining light. Lex is starting a movement and she is setting the tone for all of us.
Alexis’ inspirational message on how girls can be perfectly flawed and be self confident in how they view themselves and treat each other in our world today truly exceeded my expectations as a principal. She talked about how she became who she is today, gave examples of how society defines beauty, and how Hollywood skews our girls’ reality. She talked about the importance of treating each other with dignity and respect and that girls are all on the same team. The girls adore her, respect her, relate to her message, and want to be “that girl”. Her message has spawned an “I Am That Girl Club” at West Ridge and is changing the overall culture of our school. As long as I am the principal at West Ridge, Alexis Jones and her message will be a part of our school and community.
